Their facility in Eagan required replacement of multiple pieces of HVAC equipment, some over 40+ years old. Nordic replaced an aging Dunham-Bush boiler with two domestic boilers, prioritizing a high-efficiency boiler that allows a second standard-efficiency boiler to kick in at peak times. Nordic technicians also separated the domestic hot water and building heat systems, adding a Lochinvar Armour domestic boiler that allows the two systems to operate independently for increased performance and efficiency. We replaced the existing base pumps with two high-efficient B&G pumps to allow greater flexibility and control. The garage ventilation system was upgraded by removing the existing hydronically heated makeup air unit to a new direct fired Titan makeup air unit. In addition to the garage makeup air unit replacement, the garage exhaust system was overhauled.
